Hello classmates, I hope you are well. This is the last blog post and we have to talk about English. English is a difficult subject for me. When I was in school, the English class made me nervous, I understood the teacher very little and I was embarrassed to speak the language. It was very difficult for me to give a presentation or have an oral test, it still happens to me. My school didn't care that much about this course, so I went to college without a good English base. In addition, a big difference between private schools and municipal or subsidized schools regarding the level of English they teach. In general, it costs me more to speak English than to write. Hello classmates! Today I will talk about some changes that I would like to make in my study program. Currently, I’m studying my third year of Sociology. I like my career and generally consider the teachers to be good. However, there are aspects of the curriculum that can be improved. First, although progress has been made on a gender perspective, it’s still lacking. For example, regarding the bibliography of the courses, most of them are texts created by men and, therefore, the perspective of women is rarely studied. Second, it’s necessary to generate more instances of discussion and participation in the courses, especially since it ‘s a profession that, for the most part, requires multidisciplinary teamwork. In addition, more exhibitions or forums should be held on the future professional in sociology and it’s various areas.
